I am currently working on two projects. Both integrate my interests in political theory, the history of ideas, and cultural history and emerged out of the final chapter of my doctoral dissertation (now published as “Constructing Community and the Diversity Dilemma: Ratification in Pennsylvania” in Bill Pencak’s edited volume, Pennsylvania’s Revolution, with Penn State Press) and seminars I taught in History at American Studies at Northwestern about the European influences on American constitutional thought. I have presented on each at major conferences, but as I have not yet published, ask that you respect the ideas and phrases below as my intellectual property and only cite with permission. The History Channel’s website offers excellent guidelines on the proper way to cite online documents.
